LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Jackson County Sheriff deputies responded to multiple shots fired calls Thursday night in Summit Township.

The calls came in shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Sheriff officials say in a news release that the investigators soon identified a suspect vehicle. In addition, a license plate reader camera, called a “Flock” camera, provided officials with a potential suspect.

That address was in the 900 block of First Street in the city of Jackson. Officials obtained a search warrant and executed on that property.

Jackson County authorities say a 21-year-old man has been identified as “the main suspect” in the shooting incidents. Reports have been submitted to the Jackson County Prosecutor for possible criminal charges.
