Republican vice president nominee JD Vance to campaign in Shelby Township

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Ohio Senator JD Vance will be in Macomb County today, following Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s Democratic rally in Metro Detroit.

Vance’s stop in Shelby Township began at 10 a.m., making this his second campaign stop in Michigan since July.

According to The Detroit News, Vance’s stop in Macob County reflects the strategy by former President Donald Trump of having Vance shadow Harris on her campaign stops in battleground states this week.

Vance is also scheduled to visit Eau Claire, Wisconsin today and Oakboro, North Carolina on Thursday.
