One dead after crashing into a tree in Ingham County

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– A single-car crash killed a 63-year-old man from Perry when he hit a tree, Ingham County Sheriff’s Office confirms.

On Monday around 6 p.m., deputies responded to a crash on E. Haslet near N. M-52. Officials say the driver was traveling eastbound when his car drove off the road and hit a tree.

The unidentified driver died on the scene from his injuries. Officials believe speed was the contributing factor to the crash.
