    How being patient helped Aidan Chiles land in East Lansing

    EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Not long after Jonathan Smith announced he would be the next head coach of Michigan State’s football program, Adian Chiles made the decision to follow his head coach and offensive coordinator to East Lansing. The sophomore, who spent his freshman season as the Beavs backup and is set to bring a swagger to him as the Spartans’ starting QB this season.

    But Chiles’ journey to MSU wasn’t a straight and easy path. In fact, it was quite the opposite. From being underrecruited to an injury during his junior year of high school and then being named the backup quarterback at Oregon State, patience is a virtue Chiles has carried with him through many phases of life and shared more of his journey with our Haley Schoengart.
