    Eastbound I-96 reopened after tanker crash

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State Police and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash on eastbound I-96 Monday afternoon.

    The crash took place on eastbound I-96 and Grand River Ave., closing the roadway and diverting traffic to I-69 for several hours.

    A tanker truck was overturned and fuel spilled out on the roadway.

    While the road was shut down for investigation and cleanup, police reopened the roads and cleared the scene by the time 6 News arrived on the scene at approximately 3:20 p.m.
