LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A man was arraigned in the 67th District Court in Saginaw for allegedly committing bottle return fraud from a liquor store.

Namir Shango, 34, of Davison, allegedly created fake bottle deposit return invoices that looked like his in-store bottle return processing machine at the Valley Liquor store in Mt. Morris generated them.

He would then give these to his soft drink distributor to receive fraudulent credits toward incoming deliveries.

Shango was arraigned on one count of False Pretenses, $50,000–$100,000.

His next court appearance will be a probable cause conference on Aug. 29.
