(WLNS) — Doctors and democratic leaders in Michigan are sounding the alarm about the risk of losing the Affordable Health Care Act under Republican leadership. </p><p> One of the most memorable moments of the September debate was when former president Donald Trump said he has a “concept of a plan” for health care. 6 News asked the Trump campaign to share some of those concepts but didn’t get many details. </p><nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate><p> The campaign says that they aren’t ready to release any information on his plan at the time, but they said his overall position on health care remains the same—to make the market more competitive. </p><p> However, his opponents say that’s just code for repealing Obamacare—like he tried to do in his first term. </p><p> 6 News spoke with doctors and Democratic leaders on what that would mean. </p><p> “Around 800,000 Michiganders enrolled in Medicaid expansion coverage will lose health care,” said Dr. Rob Davidson, an emergency physician in west Michigan. “More than 418,000 Michiganders who get their health care through the ACA marketplace in 2024 will be forced to pay much higher insurance premiums, and as many as 2,000,000 seniors on Medicare could pay more for their life-saving medications.” </p><nbtemplate data-id="AdPlaceholder" data-content="JTdCJTdE"></nbtemplate><p> “Again and again, we hear calls to repeal the ACA and RIP affordable health care away from millions,” said Sen.
