Home explosion and collapse investigated in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Lansing firefighters rushed to the scene of a home that exploded and collapsed near downtown just after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

This happened on the 100 block of Allen near Michigan Ave and east of Holmes. An official on the scene told a 6 News crew it appeared to be a gas explosion and no one was inside the home.

Fire and police have several streets in this area closed off to traffic.
