LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A semi truck driver hit the brakes on the truck under their control causing some of the load he was hauling to fall off.

That resulted in U.S. 127 northbound just past the Holt Rd. exit being reduced to one lane while law enforcement and salvage crews worked to remove the load from the side of the highway, says Ingham County Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth.

The incident happened shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday.

People, especially the semi drivers, are driving like complete idiots through that zone. It's a 60 mph zone because of the construction, but as narrow as the lane gets with two concrete walls on either side, it should be 40 mph! Reckless driving, you have to have time and space to stop!
