    Early morning house fire under investigation

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at an abandoned home in Lansing.

    The incident happened shortly after 12:25 a.m. at the corner of Avon Street and Linval Street, just east of S. Cedar Street.

    Investigators told 6 News that the front side of the building was fully engulfed in flames, but they were able to control the fire.

    The Lansing Police Department says the house is abandoned and it appears that wires were sparking in the front lawn.

    There are no reports of any injuries, but the fire’s cause is unknown.
