JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shooting on the north side of the city that happened Tuesday morning.

Police tell 6 News that officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Bowen St. at around 11:09 a.m. in response to a report of a shooting victim.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a 32-year-old man who was shot in the chest. He was transported via ambulance to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital where he is in what police call “stable, but critical condition.”

Initial investigation found that the shooting happened inside of a residence, and police learned that three males were seen running away from the area of the shooting.

All three—two adult men and one juvenile—were found and detained by police. One of the adults, an 18-year-old man, is currently lodged in the Jackson County Jail in connection with the shooting.

    The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Detective Michael Klimmer at (517) 768-8752 or may report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (855) 840-7867.
