    Potter Park Zoo announces partnership to benefit new families in mid-Michigan

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The University of Michigan Health-Sparrow and Potter Park Zoo have announced a new partnership that will allow new families in mid-Michigan a free membership to the zoo.

    Each family who welcomes a new baby at the UM Health-Sparrow or any family with a child in the Children’s Center will receive a free one-year membership.

    The membership includes discounted access to over 100 zoos and aquariums nationwide and exclusive membership events.

    Potter Park Zoo partners with the UM Health-Sparrow for a special gift to Lansing residents.

    “Our partnership with Potter Park Zoo is an extension of our commitment to support families beyond the hospital,” said Kathy Marble, chief nursing officer at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing. “We recognize the joy that comes with welcoming a new life into the world, and we want to help families build new traditions together. This membership is a gift for parents and children to enjoy the wonders of nature while creating lasting memories.”

    The partnership aims to help parents and their kids connect with animals and nature while building memories and enjoying meaningful experiences at a popular attraction in the Lansing Area.
