LEONI TWP., Mich. (WLNS)— Trash bags piling up in one neighborhood in Jackson are causing countless frustration for residents.

Julia Hilliker, Leoni township resident, lives on Fairyland St. and says it’s been more than two weeks since her trash has been picked up.

Her neighbors have also suffered the same fate.

She says trash sits on the curb out by the street as time goes by.

Hilliker says she’s called the trash company on numerous occasions and feels as if their neighborhood is being neglected.

“It’s very much an eyesore. I feel like were dirty,” said Hilliker. “We, you know we can’t pay our bills. I did switch over to a new trash company, and they start next week, but in the meantime. I’m still looking at this eyesore.”

Hilliker did contact our station to inform us that her trash has now been picked up, but she says that isn’t the case for other neighbors.

Seems like a ridiculous article to write when the name of the company wasn't included! Increasingly, poor journalism is coming from wlns!
