    What you need to know about the MSU Homecoming Parade this Friday

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Grab your green and white! Michigan State University is hosting its annual Homecoming Parade this Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.

    People are encouraged to line the streets in their green and white gear and replace regular lightbulbs with green bulbs to show support for MSU’s Glow Green tradition.


    Parade Route

    The parade will begin at the intersection of Abbot Road and Burcham Drive at 6 p.m.

    The parade will end on Farm Lane on MSU’s campus around 7:15 p.m.

    Road Closures

    These roads are scheduled to close from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.

    • Centerlawn Avenue between Forest Street and Abbot Road.
    • Northlawn Street between Forest Street and Abbot Road.
    • Evergreen Avenue between Centerlawn Avenue and Northlawn Street.
    • Forest Street between Centerlawn Avenue and Northlawn Street.
    • Fern Street between Abbot Road and Evergreen Avenue.
    • Burcham Drive between M.A.C. Avenue and Abbot Road.

    Road closures scheduled at 5:30 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.

    • Abbot Road between Burcham Drive and Grand River Avenue.
    • Grand River Avenue between Harrison Road and Abbot Road.
    • Michigan Avenue between Harrison Road and Grand River Avenue.
    • Grand River Avenue between Hagadorn Road and Collingwood Drive/Farm Lane.

    Road closures scheduled at 5:45 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.

    • Grand River Avenue between Abbot Road and Collingwood Drive/Farm
      Lane.
