    I-496 reopens after car crash led to shutdown

    UPDATE: As of 4:20 p.m. the road has been reopened.

    LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A car crash has shut down eastbound I-496 at Trowbridge Rd in East Lansing.

    Officials are advising those traveling to seek an alternate route.

    At this time it is not immediately clear how many cars were involved, if anyone was injured, or how long the road will be closed.

    This is a developing story. 6 News is working to obtain more information, and we will update this story as we do so.
