Warm and sunny weather returns to the forecast

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)—A high–pressure system moving south of Mid–Michigan is forecasting Quiet and calm weather with plenty of sunshine.

This morning, temperatures were in the low to mid-30s areawide, with clear skies and calm winds. Some spots saw patchy fog, but as soon as the sun rose and gave us a little bit of warmth, it quickly burned off.

Skies remain sunny, and temperatures gradually warm into the low 60s today, which is right around average for this time of year.

It is going to be one of those days when you need the jacket or sweater leaving the house, but by lunchtime, you will be carrying it in your arms as you head to lunch and back home tonight. Temperatures gradually fall back into the mid to upper 30s tonight with clear skies.

The forecast looks great for our Friday especially if you are thinking of attending the MSU Homecoming parade ! While we start out a little chilly temperatures will gradually warm back into the mid to upper 60s with plenty of sunshine!

Sunshine and warm weather take us through the weekend as we continue to see temperatures into the 70s for both Saturday and Sunday. These temperatures are quite warm for this time of year, almost 10 to 15 degrees above normal, so get outside and enjoy it!

Warm weather continues into the upcoming work week with mostly sunny skies sticking around until Tuesday. By Wednesday it looks like rain returns to the forecast as a low-pressure system brings in clouds and rain chances. Right now those chances look to be small.
