LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Yet another beautiful day is ahead as we continue to see wall-to-wall sunshine and above-average temperatures.

We still have the high-pressure system to our south that is in control of the weather for a large portion of the country. On satellite and radar, there are still no clouds from the East Coast all the way to the western side of the Mississippi River! This means that we will continue to see plenty of sunshine and dry weather for the entire weekend and well into the upcoming work week.

Temperatures this morning are a little warmer in the upper 40s to low 50s areawide, clear skies continue this morning and throughout the day today with temperatures warming into the mid to upper 70s for Sunday. Overall, it is a fantastic day to check a few fall activities off the fall bucket list. Temperatures tonight fall back into the low to mid-50s so we remain above average tonight into tomorrow morning.

Kicking off the work week we will see more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures, we start Monday with temperatures in the low to mid-50s gradually warming to the mid to upper 70s typically this time of year we see temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s, we are going to stick with the 70s until at least Tuesday of next week.

A cold front brings the late summer warmth to an end as the slight chance for isolated sprinkles here and there by Wednesday morning, nothing too heavy but enough for us to need the windshield wipers during the morning commute. After the cold front passes temperatures will fall back closer to normal in the upper 50s to low 60s with a few clouds.
