GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — With Election Day less than two weeks away, Michigan residents still have time to register to vote or update their information in person.

While the deadline for online registration has passed, Grand Rapids City Clerk Joel Hondorp reminded prospective voters that they can still visit their local clerk’s office to ensure they are eligible for the Nov. 5 election.

“If your address has changed or you haven’t registered before, you need to go to your local clerk’s office to vote in this election,” Hondorp said.

Benson, Musk spar over voter roll. What are the facts?

Michigan’s early in-person voting period begins Saturday. Kent County will have early voting sites in each municipality. Not every county handles early voting in the same way, so voters can find their locations and hours by visiting Michigan.gov/vote .

For those voting absentee, Hondorp recommended dropping ballots at a ballot box or delivering them directly to the clerk’s office. Mailing ballots is still an option but not advised this close to the election due to potential delays. Alternatively, voters can submit absentee ballots at early voting sites or their precincts on Election Day.

“Just make sure you don’t remove the stub,” Hondorp added.
