LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– An overnight shooting in a neighborhood near Potter Park Zoo left three men injured and in critical condition.

Lansing Police confirmed with 6 News that law enforcement responded to a shooting on the 800 block of Baker St. around 11 p.m.

Police say three men– ages 18, 35, and 40 were injured and taken to a local hospital. Two of them are currently in critical condition. Both Lansing Police and Michigan State Police say the 18-year-old was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Lansing Police told 6 News that the incident might have come from a confrontation and they believe the people involved knew each other.

After police responded to the shooting, several firearms were recovered after a car was stopped by a patrol sergeant with one of the people involved inside.

LPD also says the 35-year-old man is now facing a non-life-threatening condition.

Police did not confirm whether a suspect is in custody but said there is no threat to the public.
