Storms and showers back this weekend

Our next storm system is set to bring showers, thunderstorms, and more humidity to the region this weekend. The Storm Prediction Center has areas northwest of the Bay under a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) for isolated strong to severe storms. Damaging winds will be the main concern. Periods of heavy rain could cause flooding concerns around poor drainage areas. The Marginal Risk (level 1/5) will be in place for all of central Maryland on Sunday as the cold front slowly moves eastward. Shower and storm chances linger into Monday. Conditions dry out mid-week next week and temperatures take a hit, into the low-80s.
