Police, security guard exchange gunfire with Cherry Hill shooting suspect

Baltimore Police are investigating after gunfire was exchanged between officers and a suspect in Cherry Hill on Wednesday.

Officers arrived on the scene and found a man, 33, who was critically wounded by gunfire.

They were made aware that the suspect in the shooting was still in the area.

According to police, During a foot pursuit, the suspect pulled out a gun and began firing at the officer and a security guard.

Both the officer and the guard returned fire.

The suspect, 29, was taken to a local hospital for a leg injury.
