Panama City Beach ranked second best fishing town in Florida in a new study

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL. ( WMBB ) – Panama City Beach was ranked #2 as the best fishing town in Florida according to a new study by FishingBooker.

FishingBooker is known as the world’s largest platform for connecting anglers and fishing guides with over 47,000 fishing trips available, in more than 2,200 destinations worldwide.

The study ranked the top fishing spots in each state based on six criteria derived from data gathered from over 100,000 fishing trips in the past year.

In Florida, 202 towns were ranked according to their score from 1 to 10 in six different categories. Destin took the top spot with 59 out of 60 points, followed by Panama City Beach with 53 points.

According to two out of six categories, Panama City Beach received full points for its average recommendation score and minimum price of a fishing trip.
