    Holmes County 2024 Primary Election Results

    Holmes County Commissioner District 1

    In District 1, Jeff Good faced Wilmer Stafford.

    Stafford won with 52% of the votes. No democratic challenger, and so he is the new County Commissioner.

    Holmes County Commissioner District 3

    In the District 3 County Commissioner races, Republicans Mitch Johnson and Lee Moss faced each other.
    Mitch Johnson won with 54% of the votes.

    Holmes County Commissioner District 5

    And in the District 5 race, Republicans Clint Erickson, Jackie Faircloth, and J. Wayne Marsh all ran.

    Clint Erickson came out with the most votes at 55%. So he will take the District 5 seat.

    Holmes County Tax Collector

    The Tax Collector’s job had two Republican candidates, Harry B. Bell III and Taylor Russ.

    Harry B. Bell, III becomes the Tax Collector with 60% of the votes.

    Holmes County Superintendent of Schools

    Voters had two choices in the Superintendent of Schools race.
    Republicans Buddy Brown and Ron Dixon both hoped to run the school system.

    Buddy Brown won with 54% of the votes.

    Holmes County School Board District 4

    The District 4 School Board seat in Holmes County is up for grabs. Shirley Owens and Derek Worley both ran with no party affiliation.

    Derek Worley won with 50% of the votes.
