    Walton County 2024 Primary Election Results

    Walton County Commissioner District 1

    The incumbent William “Boots” McCormick faced challenges from former Commissioner Trey Mick, and Dan Curry.
    All 3-men ran as Republicans, with no Democratic challenger, so this one was decided tonight.
    Dan Curry won with 48% of the votes.

    Walton County Commissioner District 3

    In the District 3 seat, Brad Drake, who was appointed to the position earlier this year, faced Chuck Wilder
    Brad Drake won with 62% of the vote.
    He’ll go on to face qualified write-in candidate Shawn Rolle in the November general election.

    Walton County Commissioner District 5

    In the District 5 County Commissioner Republican Primary contest, incumbent Tony Anderson faced Barbara Morano and Ddmon Zlotea
    Tony Anderson came out on top with 48% of the vote. He will face Democratic challenger Michael Miller in November.

    Walton County Sheriff

    Republican Aaron Murray tried to unseat Adkinson tonight.
    He was unsuccessful, Adkinson had 66% of the vote while Murray had 34%.
    Adkinson will go on to face qualified write-in candidate Alan Osborne in November.

    Walton County Property Appraiser

    Incumbent Walton County Property Appraiser Gary J. Gregor hoped to be reelected to the office tonight.
    He faced challenger Jonathan P. Roberts.
    Gary J. Gregor picked-up the majority of the vote at 72%. With no Democratic challenger, that decides the race. Gregor is the property appraiser.
