    Washington County 2024 Primary Election Results

    Washington County Commission District 1

    The County Commission District 1 race was between Tim Birge, Ashlyn Casey Marquez, Troy Cunningham, and David L. Riley.

    Marquez got 34% of the vote and won the seat.

    Washington County Commission District 3

    3 Republicans were running for the District 3 County Commission seat. Joey Brock, John W. Gay, and John “Tray” Hawkins.
    Brock won with 50% of the votes and will become the District 3 County Commissioner.

    Washington County Commission District 5

    The District 5 commission race was a head-to-head campaign between David A. Corbin and Benita Crittendon.

    Corbin won with 60% of the votes.

    Washington County Supervisor of Elections

    Incumbent Supervisor of Elections Deidra Pettis ran for reelection against challenger Cara Griffin Steele.
    Pettis came out on top with 75% of the votes.

    Washington County Superintendent of Schools

    With Washington County Superintendent of Schools Herbert Taylor deciding against reelection, 3 people jumped into the race.

    Republicans Samuel E. Cox, Thomas Andrew Register, and Joseph Taylor all hoped to replace Herbert Taylor.
    Thomas Andrew Register came out on top with 49% of the vote.

    Washington County School Board District 2

    In the School Board District 2 race, Lou Cleveland and Jason Eli Smith both ran with no party affiliation.
    Cleveland ended up with the most votes, pulling in 56% of the votes.
