BAY COUNTY, FL. ( WMBB ) – If you’re in the market for a deal on a car, truck, trailer other items, you may want to make plans to attend a special event this weekend.

The Florida Auction network is hosting its latest government surplus auction in Panama City this Saturday at 9 a.m. The auction will take place at the Network’s East Business 98 location, right across the street from the Old Paper Mill property. Besides vehicles and trailers, they’ll be liquidating boats, lawnmowers, and more.

The surplus items are coming from the Bay County and Walton County Sheriff’s offices, Bay County Commission, Panama City, Panama City Beach, Talquin Electric Co-op, and others.

Florida Auction Network manager and auctioneer Jon Sewell said this is a great opportunity to get a good deal on what he would call a reliable vehicle.

“I drive one every day. I got it almost three years ago. It had been maintained before I got it. It’s been maintained while I’ve owned it. It’s been to Texas, and I’ve gone to South Florida several times. I average about 3000 or 4000 miles a month on my vehicle,” Swell said.

Sewell said you can preview these items this Friday at the Network’s East Business-98 location from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For the full list of auction items, click here.
