Panama City sponsoring a family fun day for the community at Daffin Park

BAY COUNTY, FL. ( WMBB ) – Panama City officials are inviting the community to a fun day this weekend.

The city is sponsoring a free family fun day at Daffin Park, from noon to 3 p.m.

City officials are hoping to draw a few hundred kids. The activities will include sack races, tug of war, an egg and spoon relay race, a balloon race, and a three-legged race.

DJ Drumzel will play music and kids get free shirts. There will also be two Glenwood Rattlers football games at Daffin Park.

“We are hoping to have a great turnout. Of course, it is free and open to the public, so really, anyone can come, whether that’s you with your neighbors or if you call up a friend or maybe you’re hoping to make some friends. It’s going to be a great event to really bring the community out, “Public Affairs Manager Kristen Kennedy said.

No pre-registration is required.

The city typically holds three or four of these events each year.

But so far, they’ve all been rained out. That shouldn’t be the case this Saturday.
