ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A Destin teenager was arrested Tuesday after leading law enforcement in Florida and Alabama on a chase on Interstate 10, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

18-year-old Angela Marie Stillwell was arrested Tuesday by Florida law enforcement on charges of fleeing and eluding, as well as for a violation of her learner’s license, News 5 has learned.

According to FHP, around 11:30 a.m. Florida troopers were notified that the Alabama Highway Patrol had a vehicle fleeing from them and traveling into Florida.

A Florida Trooper then noticed the car and began to catch up with the vehicle when the vehicle began to get faster and tried to get away from the officer, according to the FHP report.

The Florida Trooper was able to catch up to the car and apply the PIT maneuver, which caused the car to crash and stop. A Precision Immobilization Technique involves law enforcement forcing a vehicle to turn sideways, causing it to spin and stop.

Stillwell will also face charges in Alabama for fleeing and eluding and unlawful speed. No one was injured.
