Holmes County’s Jones promoted to High-A

ROME, Ga ( WMBB ) — Holmes County and Northwest Florida State alum, Colby Jones was promoted to the Atlanta Braves’ High-A affiliate, the Rome Emporers.

Jones was assigned to the August Green Jackets, the Braves’ single-A affiliate on August 4. Less than a month later, the infielder was promoted.

He played his first game for the Emporers on the same day he was called up.

In 21 games played for the Green Jackets, Jones had 18 hits, 4 RBI, and a .265 batting average.
