    Chipley man arrested after armed robbery of convenience store

    WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – An arrest has been made following a reported armed robbery in Chipley.

    Isaac McDonald is facing charges for his involvement in a robbery on Saturday.

    According to the Chipley Police Department, they were initially alerted on Friday to a potential threat about someone planning multiple convenience store robberies.

    Steps were then taken to notify local convenience stores of the possible threat and what precautions to take.

    Then shortly after 10:00 Saturday night, authorities got a call about an armed robbery at the Shell gas station near the interstate.

    Not long after the robbery, authorities in Washington and Holmes County managed to track down McDonald’s vehicle on the interstate in Bonifay.

    Mcdonald was arrested and is now being held in the Washington County jail on a $50,000 bond.
