    Minor charged with possession of firearm after unintentional shooting in Panama City

    PANAMA CITY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – On Friday, Panama City Police officers responded to a local hospital in reference to a male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

    According to a news release, investigators discovered that the victim’s friend, 17-year-old De’Andre Smith unintentionally shot him while mishandling a firearm.

    Following the investigation, Smith was charged with minor possession of a firearm and tampering with evidence.
