PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – North Bay Haven and Head Football Coach Thomas Elliott are parting ways mid-season, marking the program’s third coaching change in less than five months.

North Bay Haven Athletic Director Steve Gillispie told News 13 on Thursday that the decision comes after “unforeseen circumstances” that he cannot comment on at this time.

Elliott was hired in July and has been with the program for just over two months. The Buccaneers have started this season 0-4 and have been outscored by opponents 130-2.

Effective immediately, Matt Durham will be taking over as the program’s interim head coach. Durham helped coach the team in the preseason.

Durham will be the fifth head football coach for the Buccaneers since 2022.

NBH fired Head Coach Matt Knauss in April, leading to a major backlash from players and families within the program. More than a dozen returning players transferred to Bozeman this summer and another to Arnold.

It seems as if there are some really big problems at this school. From the top down.
