PANAMA CITY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – Get your blankets and lawn chairs ready, every Friday from Friday, September 20th until Friday, October 18th a band will take the stage at the Panama City Marina lawn as part of the Backstage Pass Concert Series.

Each concert is free to attend and they all start at 7 p.m., although it is recommended you arrive a half hour earlier to secure a spot.

The bands performing over the next few weeks come from all around the southeast.

This concert series has been around since the mid-80s, but in recent years it has seen lots of changes due to COVID and Hurricane Michael, today, event organizers are just happy to have it back for good.

The drinks and good times will be flowing in Port St. Joe

“It means a lot, not just to us as an organization, but to us as a community,” Bay Arts Alliance Executive Director Jayson Kretzer said. “Backstage Pass was such a vital part of the music scene for so many years that came before me. I’m just super excited and honored to be a part of its resurgence now.”

Hotel Indigo and Harrison’s will be open during all the concerts serving drinks.

During the intermission of tonight’s show attendees will also enjoy a live performance from a comic from Panama City Comedy.
