OKALOOSA COUNTY, FL. ( WMBB ) – The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man after firing shots into an occupied FedEx delivery truck in Cinco Bayou on Thursday.

According to a news release, the suspect involved was 27-year-old Brian Quinones. OCSO deputies said one bullet hit the passenger side window frame but did not enter the van.

The second penetrated the driver’s side windshield, barely missing the driver, who ducked at the last second, officials wrote.

Officials confirmed two people were in the van at the time. The individuals stated they were making a delivery when a man with dreadlocks driving a white truck with the Aqua Pool logo pulled in front of the van stopped, fired two shots, and sped away.

OCSO deputies quickly made a felony traffic stop on the truck that Quinones was driving.

Investigators said they found a loaded 9mm handgun in a bag along with another loaded, magazine, personal items, and marijuana belonging to Quinones.

Quinones was charged with two counts of attempted second-degree homicide, two counts of firing a deadly missile into a vehicle, and possession of marijuana.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
