    Walton’s Bettenhausen commits to Lenoir Rhyne

    DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (WMBB) – Walton High School senior quarterback, Wells Bettenhausen has committed to NCAA DII powerhouse Lenoir Rhyne University.

    Bettenhausen is currently No. 2 in Class 2A in passing yards (1,264) and second overall in Florida through just four games played.

    He is averaging 316 passing yards per game and has tallied 17 total touchdowns.

    Bettenhausen received attention from multiple Division One teams but Lenoir Rhyne was the first program to give him an official offer.

    Walton will host Bettenhausen’s former team, South Walton, this Friday, September 27.
