    Panhandle road closures

    Update 9/27 : Cape San Blas Road is open, drivers are urged to use caution near the Stumphole since water is still crashing over the rocks at times, officials said.

    Jackson County road updates: Poplar Springs Rd, Berkshire Rd, and Pilgrim Rest Church Rd are all open. Caverns Rd, Aycock Rd, Woodrest Rd, and Cutchins Rd are all closed according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

    PANHANDLE, Fla. ( WMBB ) – Several roads around the Panhandle are experiencing flooding due to Hurricane Helene, view the list below.

    Franklin County (9/27 @ 2:30 p.m.) :

    • Countywide :
    • HWY 98 is experiencing erosion along the water’s edge; please refrain from parking on the roadside.
    • Eastpoint :
    • Ridge and Bear Creek Roads have sustained damage.
    • Gardener’s Landing is closed due to downed power lines and a washed-out culvert.
    • Bloody Bluff and Chason Roads are closed due to water over the road.
    • Hickory Landing Road is also closed.
    • St. George Island :
    • The SGI Boat Ramp parking area is closed until further notice.
    • Carrabelle and Lanark Village :
    • HWY 67 past Baywood Drive has water over the road.
    • Mill Road, approximately 300 yards before Trout Creek Bridge, is closed.
    • Oak Street at Kentucky and Delaware are underwater.
    • Alligator Point and Bald Point :
    • Chip Morrison Road is closed due to a washout.
    • Alligator Drive near Marine Angus Morrison is closed due to a washout.
    • Marlin Street, Cobia Street, Trout Street, Kingfish Street, Bass Street, Grouper Street, Sailfish Street, Tarpon Street, and Alan Street are all experiencing washouts.

    Bay County:

    • Arkansas Avenue between 11th and 12th Street is flooded. The Public Works Department has barricaded the road to close off traffic through that area.
    • Azalea Street at Hwy 231 is underwater.
    • 800 Block of W. 6th Street
    • 3rd Street between Carolina Ave. and Missouri Ave.
    • 400 Block of Carolina Ave.
    • 1100 Block of Mississippi Ave.
    • 1300 Block of Massachusetts Ave.
    • 1700 Block of Massachusetts Ave.
    • 1300 Block of Rhode Island Ave.
    • 1400 Block of Rhode Island Ave.
    • 1700 Block of Rhode Island Ave.
    • 4th Street and Montana Ave.
    • 12th Street and Arkansas Ave.
    • 10th Street and Michigan Ave.
    • 9th Street and Michigan Ave.
    • 10th Street and Pennsylvania Ave.
    • Most of Liddon Place
    • C.R. 2321 @ C.R. 2311 and Hwy 77 under water — now passable.

    Jackson County:

    • Poplar Springs Road (South of Black Road) – open, water on road use caution
    • Caverns Road (near Marianna K-8) is impassable due to water over the road.

    Calhoun County:

    • Marysville School Rd. – North end
    • CR 1 from Hwy 20 to Mack Shiver
    • Capt Lynn Rd. – Scott’s Ferry
    • John F. Bailey Rd.
    • Juniper Creek Rd. at CR 5

    Holmes County:

    • Beall Packing Rd – Open
    • Main Street in Noma – Closed
    • Reddick Mill Rd – Closed
    • Jackson Branch Rd – Closed
    • E White St in Noma – Closed
    • Wrights Creek Rd – Closed
    • Gavin Rd – Closed
    • Smith Chapel Rd – Closed

    Gulf County:

    • Cape San Blas Rd – Closed
