    The Krewe of Saint Andrew hosting Halloween costume contest

    BAY COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – There’s an event taking place this weekend to let you get in touch with your spooky side.

    The Krewe of Saint Andrews is hosting a Halloween costume contest this Saturday, October 5th. It starts at 6 p.m. at the Krewe of St. Andrews Den which is located on Chandlee Avenue between West 15th Street and Airport Road.

    There will also be music, dancing, heavy hor d’oeurves, and a $1,000 raffle. The Krewe has hosted this Halloween event for at least 15 years.

    Local law enforcement officials highlight Pedestrian Safety Month

    They say they always look forward to seeing the creative costumes people wear.

    “I’ve seen anywhere from I Dream of Jeannie to Ghoulish Costumes so some things are just like couples costumes, but some are really innovative and very intricate. But then some are just we’re just glad for people to come,” Krewe of St. Andrews PR Chair Leisa Ward said.

    Tickets are $20, but they must be bought in advance. You can buy them using the Venmo account: @krewe-standrews
