NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — It could be a great weekend for Seth Glatz.

The Illinois State junior running back will play his first home game with the Redbirds on Saturday. And he’s very familiar with the opponent, Western Illinois.

Glatz transferred to ISU from Western Illinois late last year. He played two years for the Leathernecks without winning a game.

“It’s definitely a good week for me. I’m looking forward to it,” said Glatz, who is listed as the back-up to starting running back Wenkers Wright. “Getting out there, playing against my old teammates, being able to see them and play against them will be fun.”

WIU comes to Normal after losses to Northern Illinois (54-15) and Indiana (77-3). New Leathernecks coach Joe Davis is trying to snap his program’s 26-game losing streak.

Glatz rushed for 51 yards in Illinois State’s 24-17 win at North Alabama on Saturday. It was the first time he’d been on the winning side of a college football game.

“It feels really good to be able to get out there and run the ball, get my confidence back and make some plays,” said Glatz.

The ISU-WIU game kicks off at noon Saturday at Hancock Stadium.
