Local sports recap for Sept. 18, 2025

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Kenzie Pflederer picked a good time to notch a double-double for her Illinois Central College volleyball team.

The Tremont High School grad had 14 kills and 19 digs to lead ICC past Lewis & Clark in five sets at Ramsey Gymnasium on Wednesday. East Peoria product Maris Barclay added 23 assists for ICC which won 25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 19-25 and 15-6.

In high school football, two big games in the Mid-Illini Conference are set to kick off on Friday. Pekin hosts Washington and Morton travels to Metamora in a pair of key games on the week 4 slate.

Bloomington heads across town to play Normal West in a key game in the Big 12 on Friday.
