Prep sports recap for Sept. 25, 2024

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Quinton Hynek assisted on a pair of goals to help visiting Peoria Christian beat Morton, 3-1, in boys soccer on Wednesday.

Hynek notched his 100th and 101st career assists in the win. Peoria Christian improved to 12-1-1 on the season.

In volleyball, Dunlap beat Mid-Illini Conference leader Morton 25-19, 25-21. The Eagles (12-7, 4-2) hand the Potters (15-4, 5-1) their first conference loss of the season.

Peoria High School basketball standout announced on social media late Wednesday that he has committed to play college hoops at Miami of Ohio.
