Prep football recap for games on Sept. 27, 2024

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — Cooper Temples scored on a short touchdown run with three minutes remaining to lift Normal West past Peoria High, 20-18, in a key Big 12 football game on Friday.

The win improves West’s record to 3-2, while Peoria High (4-1) suffered its first loss of the season.

Other area football winners included Bloomington, Normal Community, Notre Dame, Washington, Dunlap, Metamora, Pekin, Farmington, Central Catholic, Tri-Valley, Eureka, Ridgeview-Lexington, LeRoy, Princeville, Stark County, Peoria Heights, and Prairie Central.
