    Possible grain silo collapse causes Route 29 closure in Putnam

    PUTNAM, Ill. (WMBD) — Illinois Route 29 in Putnam County has been closed to all traffic after a possible grain silo collapse according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.

    The area affected is directly in the village of Putnam, according to the sheriff’s office which asked people to avoid the area.

    Local firefighters receive grain bin rescue training

    When reached, an official at the sheriff’s office said they would be releasing more information at a later time.
