PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois has received money to help unemployed, under-employed and dislocated workers

The $15,000 Community Impact grant was given to Goodwill by Community Foundation of Central Illinois.

The money aims to help people overcome any barriers they may face while trying to find work, including paying for uniforms, boots and transportation costs among other things.

I understand that non profit organizations for thrift shops, church mouse, project of humanity store, etc need money to keep these things open, lights on, renting the space, etc but I don't think it's right that they accept free donations but charge ppl for these free donations..even though it's lower than places like JC penny for example sometimes..but sometimes ppl can't even afford what these somewhat cheaper costs either..some ppl need things cheaper..plus some of these places ppl work judge ppl on their circumstances..God didn't judge anyone so I don't understand why these places judge and why they charge a lot in some things..give from ur heart and negotiate prices and just ask for donations if they can in return..I also see churches turning away non members smh..
