Florence residents have been continually frustrated by the City's rush to expand without making sure the basic infrastructure was updated to handle the increased strain that is put on it. I've resided here for 30 years and have made frequent calls regarding water quality, pipes rupturing throughout the neighborhood, shoddy repair work, drains not working, etc. At a meeting I attended the Planning Commissioner and said they planned to use the Federal Infrastructure money they received to correct this. Sll we got was increased water rates. That was over a year ago. And we are still waiting!!! Sadly, of all the communities I've lived in, Florence has the worst and most expensive water. Do better!!!
