Fall is right around the corner, the time of year when the weather starts too cool down, days become shorter and leaves begin to transform into vibrant orange, yellow and red hues. Fortunately for people who make a hobby out of viewing the autumnal changes, those vivid blooms can be found all around the country — including in Wisconsin .

SmokyMountains.com compiled a list of the best places in each state to view the colorful transformation, the must-visit destinations every nature lover should check out to catch watch the fall foliage fully unfold before the winter. According to the site, the three best places in Wisconsin to see fall foliage are Potawatomi State Park , Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive and Plum Loco Animal Farm .

Here's what the site had to say about the scenic fall nature views at Potawatomi State Park:

"Along the eastern edge of Sturgeon Bay lies the gorgeous Potawatomi State Park. Across this 1,200-acre park, you can waltz amongst the colorful beech, sugar maples, and basswood trees while exploring its 20 miles of trails. You're welcome to hike at your own pace or zip through the trails on your mountain bike. If you want to enjoy the sights while on the water, you'll need to bring your canoe, kayak, or other watercraft. Or you can rent a boat for the day at the park store where they also sell bait and fishing gear. When it comes time for fish, you're bound to pull up the northern pike, walleye, and rainbow trout more often than not."
