Area high school baseball, softball teams play Saturday second-round games

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Friday’s rainy weather created a busy Saturday of state playoff action for many teams in Eastern North Carolina.

Greene Central’s 5-0 win over South Lenoir on Friday was one of the few second-round games played after heavy rains moved through the area and washed out scheduled events. Almost every game that was postponed was played on Saturday after a rain-free Tuesday of first-round games.
