Downtown Greenville businesses excited for Memorial Day Weekend

GREENVILLE, N.C (WNCT) — Memorial Day Weekend is in full swing and here in Eastern North Carolina, people are enjoying their three-day weekend and summer weather.

This weekend is known as the official kick-off to summer, and what better way to celebrate than going out and about with family. While spending time at the beach is weather-dependent, local businesses in downtown Greenville are excited for customers to stop by and check them out.

Uptown Nutrition’s Ariana Neihaus is especially grateful for the warm weather and free parking.

“We are very thankful for what the warm weather has brought us,” she said. “Everybody wants to go get a smoothie when it’s warm, and we are very thankful now that there’s free parking, so people are excited to be coming downtown.”
