    Storage fire causes road closures in Jacksonville

    UPDATE: Roads have reopened, but the investigation is still underway to determine the case of the fire.

    JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Jacksonville Fire and Emergency Services responded to a working structure fire early Monday morning.

    Upon arrival, they determined that a mini storage had caught on fire. Crews have worked to control the fire while City, County and Camp Lejeune personnel remain on the scene to monitor host spots and conduct an investigation.

    As of now, Bell Fork Road between White Street and Brynn Mar is closed. Jacksonville Public Safety officials ask that citizens avoid this area until further notice and to follow directors from Jacksonville Police for any detours.

    Updates on the states of the road closer will be provided to citizens through the city’s phone/ text connect system as well as Jacksonville North Carolina Government and Jacksonville Public Safety Facebook .
