    Man accused of stealing J.H. Rose football helmets arrested in Pembroke

    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Law enforcement officers with the Greenville Police Department have made an arrest in the case of the missing J.H. Rose football helmets.

    44 football helmets stolen from J.H. Rose High School

    Detectives arrested 24 year old Kyle Elijah Juan Hill on August 14, for the break in and theft of 45 J.H. Rose High School football helmets. The helmets were reported stolen this past weekend.

    Hill was a former student from J.H. Rose and currently attends the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He also played football for the Rampants in 2015 and 2016.

    Hill was arrested in Pembroke and at the time of his arrest had two of the football helmets in his possession. After a search warrant was obtained, detectives found 26 additional football helmets.

    Hill was charged with commercial breaking/entering and felony larceny by the Greenville Police Department. He could be facing additional charges from Robeson County for possession of the stolen property.
