Touchdown Friday Week 1: Football in Eastern NC begins

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The high school football season kicked off Friday night across the state of North Carolina and that meant the return of Touchdown Friday.

Havelock starts the year ranked as the No. 1 ranked team in the Touchdown Friday top 9. Tarboro is in at No. 2, Jacksonville is ranked No. 3, Wallace-Rose Hill is in at the fourth spot, East Duplin is fifth, New Bern is No. 6, Southwest Edgecombe is seventh, White Oak is No. 8 and J.H. Rose rounds out the top 9.
